This report tracks recent trends in internet use in Nepal, incorporates findings from a survey administered to 196 individuals from the Kathmandu valley and surrounding areas, and recommends a way forward to build a more inclusive, tolerant and feminist internet.

It aims to describe access to and usage of the internet and technology among Nepalis when it comes to personal life and work. While doing so, it also looks into how people use their agency and autonomy in using the internet for self-expression. The study also explores harassment and violence that people are experiencing in digital spaces.

This study was conducted as part of APC’s EROTICS: Exploratory Research on Sexuality and the Internet project and was supported by AmplifyChange.
