WeDpro Inc., a feminist non-profit collective in the Philippines that works for the promotion and protection of human rights of women, youth and communities, has released to the public digital stories created by young survivors of violence through its MDG3 Fund project.
APC women’s support network programme awarded WeDpro Inc. (Women’s Education, Development, Productivity and Research Organization) with a small grant for its The Youth Tell Their Stories: Breaking Silences, Using ICTs as Form of Healing project under APC’s MDG3 Fund small grants programme.
The seven digital stories, all narrated in the Tagalog language, were created by young people (both male and female) in WeDpro’s Youth Empowerment Program. The young people tell their stories of sexual abuse, alienation and isolation, child trafficking, domestic abuse, and journeys of discovery.
