Muhammad Azhar Siddique, the lawyer behind the most recent push to ban social networking sites in Pakistan, told reporters that he spends up to 14 hours a day logged onto Facebook.

In his defense the Pakistani lawyer, who succeeded last year in getting Facebook and other sites banned for hosting “blasphemous content”, claims that he uses the site only to “make it mend its ways”.

Naturally, this includes posting over 300 pictures of his friends and family.

On a completely unrelated subject, which is in no way connected with his petition to ban Facebook, Mr. Siddique has launched his own rival to the popular social networking site. His site, called MillatFacebook is intended as a ‘Facebook for Muslims’, and labels itself as “the only rival to Facebook”.
